Great resource if journaling makes you feel overwhelmed
I’ve struggled with anxiety for the past six years or so. I have bipolar type 2 and have a good handle on my high and low moods, but anxiety is a completely different beast that doesn’t seem to respond to my usual coping skills. It is hard to bring up at therapy because my feelings basically disappear if I’m not actually having them.Multiple therapists have suggested journaling, but I’m terrible at it! Free writing without a prompt isn’t my thing. I inevitably get one or two good, long entries and revert to three consecutive pages of “things were fine today” before stopping. I saw this book advertised online and figured that for the price, it would be worth a try.I’m four weeks in and feeling so much better! The daily prompts are clear and provoke just enough thought for me to fill them out with something substantial. I don’t use the weekly reflections but took a stab at the monthly reflection – we’ll see how that goes in a few more weeks when I get to another monthly reflection. Truthfully, I felt substantially better after one week and thought it was a fluke, but the relief is lasting! Those who are used to free-journaling may find this format too restrictive. For somebody like me, it’s great. I had no idea how much energy was being drained by my constant low-level fretting. It was never anything huge, but it was constant. I’m grateful for the relief I’ve felt since starting this book and hope to continue the method after I’m done.

    Hardcover better than soft cover
A previously owned the hardcover edition and it was much better South cover edition., Which had limited space to write and was less clear the way it was laid out. I would definitely recommend a hardcover version of the same book which I will buy next time.

    Exceeded expectations! Get this journal.
I was eyeing this guided journal for months and had only seen a few of the pages – i finally got it and received it today and it absolutely exceeded my expectations. I do well with guidance and cognitive behavioral therapy and this is precisely what i need. It’s thoughtfully written and it explains the “why” behind everything inside. I am thrilled to start using it. There are essentially four sections:Intro (amazing)DailyWeeklyMonthlyI love it. If you’re reading this review, just go ahead and get it. An excerpt from the book:“ Anxiety might be making you feel restless or panicked, but just by getting this journal, you have already made a positive step forward:YOU HAVE ACKNOWLEDGED YOU STRUGGLE WITH ANXIETY AND WORRIED THOUGHTS AND THAT THEY’RE AFFECTING YOUR MENTAL HEALTH AND HAPPINESS.YOU EMBRACED THE FACT THAT YOU NEED HELP AND WANT TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.YOU ACTED ON THAT DECISION.Making the decision to take action is significant, so give yourself crediti Reducing anxiety is a process, and there is no one-size-fits-all roadmap to get there. However, this journal will fulfill the critical aspect of helping you plan, focus, and track your progress each day.”Happy Journaling 🙂

Really don’t have anything to worry about, so not really useful to me, so gave it to someone who would benefit from having it.Think it would if that’s what you are needing.

Super Buch, strukturiert und übersichtlich. Gibt einem aber den nötigen Freiraum sich nicht starr an Vorgaben halten zu müssen. Kann super damit arbeiten!
