The item arrived shrink-wrapped in plastic, though the top and bottom rings were bent slightly inward. It was an easy fix, but still a bit disappointing. Presentation-wise, the record keeper is lovely. The textured cover feels premium and sturdy, made from firm cardboard. The paper is slightly thicker than standard printer paper, which gives it a quality feel.This book is meant to be used by one person, and it does that job well. There’s a profile snapshot section for quick reference, which is especially useful when setting up care with new doctors. The layout includes space for your insurance and pharmacy details, but there are too few fields — I wish there were more so I wouldn’t have to use pencil to make changes when my information updates or run out of space listing all my details. I personally have four pharmacies I use — a mail order, a compounding pharmacy, and two local ones — since you never know when a pharmacy might be out of stock on a controlled substance. It would be great if the book provided extra lines for that level of detail.You’ll find space for two emergency contacts, your primary care provider, and up to eleven specialists. There are dedicated sections for family medical history, vaccinations, surgeries (six entries), vision, and dental records. The book includes 90 spaces for ailment history, 42 two-page layouts for office visits, and 42 fields for medication and supplement tracking. There are also 13 dotted note pages and a generous pocket on the back cover, which holds two pages of stickers for marking key pages.A pen holder is glued to the back cover, and the three ribbon markers and elastic band closure are thoughtful touches. The laminated divider tabs and thicker divider pages suggest it will hold up well over time.As someone with numerous medical conditions and frequent appointments, I find this record keeper very helpful. I do wish the medication section had more fields and that office visits were condensed to a single page each. Grouping visits by doctor would also make long-term tracking easier.Overall, I’m very happy with this product — it’s far more organized and polished than the composition notebook I had been using. While the $24.99 price point feels a bit steep, I’d consider $19.99 more appropriate. Still, the quality and thoughtful layout make it a worthwhile purchase for keeping your medical history neatly organized.
