Easy to adjust brightness
Works well for SAD. Easy to use and set brightness. I use this at work as I don’t sit near a window and we live where there’s not much sun in the winter. Flat and portable and lightweight.

As someone who has fought with the winter blues, the bright clean illumination from this lamp makes a huge improvement. 30 minutes each morning is all it takes. Highly recommended. It is well made, has a easy to use timer and a choice of intensities. It is small enough to be simple to store or take with you when you travel .

Very cute and seems to work great. I put it on my desk (looks like IPad) and am using daily. Timer is nice. I’m on lowest setting and will move up, so plenty strong.

Easy to Use and Performed Great. Died Two Months Later. (REPLACED OVERNIGHT UNDER WARRANTY!)
EDIT 2: Received replacement light today (Nov 26th 2025), the day after contacting customer support!Five stars for customer and warranty support. Still dropping one star for first light dying within two months.EDIT 1: Changed from 1 to 4 stars.After contacting customer support earlier today (Nov 25th 2025) and describing the problem, customer support responded within a couple of hours. After confirming the light was covered under their warranty, they are shipping a replacement unit immediately. Any given product product can fail for any number of reasons. Prompt customer support like this is rare, and deserves the additional 3 stars by itself. We’ll have to see how well the replacement unit fares.===Received the Verilux HappyLight Lumi Plus on October 1, 2025, and was impressed with the apparent quality of construction, the simplicity of use, and the performance—VERY bright on high. Sadly, the unit refused to turn on after working perfectly every morning until yesterday, November 24th , 2025. I have since unplugged and re-plugged it in with no success. I had the light plugged into the same APC UPS as my computer and entertainment system, so no power surges or spikes could have killed it. I read many of the reviews from one to five stars, so I did have some reservations about the proprietary power connector and durability before buying. I should have followed my instincts. Too Bad. So SAD. $42.99 plus tax down the drain.

Great light therapy light for those of us who are craving sunlight during the winter months.
This light therapy light is great. It is very helpful during this time of year when we lose so much daylight. It has 3 brightness level settings as well as a timer. The cord has a great reach.

Nice size, convenient and easy to use
The Happy Light works well for me because of its size, touch control and levels of brightness. It’s easy to adjust the brightness (lower right button of concentric half-circles) but I was advised by my doctor to use the brightest setting of 10,000 Lux for maximum benefit for my needs. The highest setting is very bright (!) but it is easy to position the light a little farther away and still get the benefits. The timer function (lower left corner button that looks like a clock) takes a few tries to get right but the instructions in the User’s Guide are helpful. The plug measures 2.25”L x 1.5”W x 1.25” Thick not including the power prongs (see picture). Not terribly bulky but you’ll need enough room on your wall sockets to plug it in. Cord is long at 68” (5ft 8 in).

This helps me with anxiety
My therapist recommended this to me. I have struggled with generalized anxiety disorder since 2006. I use this lamp 30 minutes every morning and sometimes in early afternoons. It seems to have made a huge difference in my mood. I have not had a bad day with anxiety since I got it about three weeks ago. Prior to using the lamp, I was having about three difficult days per week. I don’t know if it’s a placebo effect or if I’m highly suggestible. All I know is I feel considerably better.

Truly has been a life saver with my SAD!!! I live in Canada and the days are very short….this light has made a huge difference in my mood and I don’t feel the tightness in my chest of sadness. I am very happy !!! I like the easy turn off and on button. It’s sturdy on the table. The timer for auto shut-off is in 15 min increments, up to an hour. It’s very bright and has 3 brightness settings. I keep it on the table and during my morning ☕ coffee I have it on for about 15 or 20 min. it’s been a game changer for me enduring the cold and dark winters!! Very happy!!
