Die dritte LP der Ballroom Thieves ist wieder ganz wunderbarer moderner Country-College-Folk, die Band mit der ungewöhnlichen Besetzung (Cello, Gitarre, Schlagzeug bzw. Percussion) weiß wieder ganz und gar zu bezaubern im Spannungsfeld von Neo-Folk, Country, Rock und diesmal einer Prise Soul und Indie Rock. Die Cellistin Calin Peters darf diesmal etwas mehr singen, was der Band gut tut, obwohl auch der Sänger/Gitarrist Martin Earley wirklich gut ist. Die Ballroom Thieves klingen wie moderner Folk klingen sollte, eben nicht gestrig, nicht rührselig oder gar patriotisch, sondern einfühlsam und intelligent. Wer Lone Bellow mag, wird auch die Ballroom Thieves lieben.
