Great addition to my protein bar rotation
Over the past year or two, I have sampled a very broad range of protein bars from multiple manufacturers. From Quest, I like the chocolate chip cookie dough and oatmeal chocolate chip about equally. These are a bit more “textured” than the cookie dough bars, but I welcome that variety. The protein to carb mix works well for me. They are chewy, but again that is a welcome difference from some of the other available bars. When compared with the prices of some other protein bars, these are a reasonably good value and definitely taste better than some of the “cheap” protein bars that are out there.

I’m pretty picky about these protein bars and this one’s a high one on my list. I rotate this out pretty regularly between a few other flavors, but this one’s always a great option.

I like the oatmeal chocolate chip bars. Please note, they have a cinnamon taste as well. Would this oatmeal bars with the cinnamon flavor be better with raisins instead chocolate chips?

Good Protein % Low Sugar % Great Price ! Lackluster taste + texture
This is a good product if you are not satisfied with the OFF THE SHELF options for protein bars that pack a lot of protein and keep the sugar down. They are reasonably priced, especially if you are comparing to the BUILDERS BARS at the grocery store. I keep them in my car for a quick and healthy snack and filler meal after a workout. Eating them is not a pleasant experience. They resemble the old school power bars with that mashed and dense texture. They taste like some kind of emergency food ration, with that kind of wet-sand texture cruising around in your mouth. Think of them more like fuel than food. . ..loading up before you summit the mountain. I will be buying them again and will try a different flavor with the hope the experience of eating them turns a bit more positive past neutral. Until I find something that compares in price and a 20:1 ratio of Protein and Sugar, this will be my go-to bar for now.
