Excellent for after hip surgery
The ice pack freezes quickly and stays frozen on the hip/upper thigh for a prolonged period, relieving pain and swelling. If you’re planning to have surgery on your hip, I suggest ordering this ahead of time so you’ll have it when you arrive home. The Velcro straps are wide and easy to fasten the ice pack to the body. The ice pack is soft, durable, and of excellent quality. It’s easy to apply when frozen. I can easily lie it flat in the freezer so it doesn’t take up quality real estate in the freezer. I liked the product so much that I bought the second one, so I always have an ice pack ready to use. I am 6 feet tall and weigh 208 pounds. The extra-large size is a perfect fit for my body.

Great product! Just what I needed.
This item is the perfect size to target every area of swelling, itching, and pain after my hip replacement. I am just under 5’7” and around 180 lbs, and it fits perfectly. It is always kind of pliable, not too hard. I wear it for 15-20 minutes, then fold it upon itself for an hour, and I am able to wear it again for another 15-20 minutes without re-freezing it. It doesn’t get wet with thawing. I then put it back in the freezer for another hour. It always seems cold enough and is always as comfortable as possible. The straps fit perfectly with plenty of extra room on the waist and the thigh. These Velcro straps are strong enough to adjust how low or high I want it. I chose it based on how low it looked like it would fit my leg since I have swelling in various spots. I’m very satisfied with this product. One less hassle in what can be a somewhat traumatic and scary surgery experience.

Good coverage for icing hip and back
I love the size of it but it is kind of heavy. It slides down and doesn’t stay in place. The waist strap seems too stretchy or not sturdy enough to keep in place. It does work well while sitting or laying down. It has good flexibility for the size and it stays cold a long time

Excellent ice pack for hip. It easily stays cold for 20 minutes. It is durable and excellent quality. I use the small/medium size & it fits perfectly.

Stays cold for hours!
Works hot or cold. Stays cold for hours! Very flexible. Straps hold it place, but you can just lay it on your leg or body part without the straps. I got the X-tra large and it covers from the top of my hip to below my knee. Easy to fold and put in freezer and then unfolds easily. Probably the best ice pack I’ve ever used.

I purchased the ice pack for a total hip replacement recovery tool. I’m two weeks into recovery and I use the pack 3-4 times a day. It works great, attaches to upper leg and down thigh. Covers part of butt which is pretty soar. Works great. Don’t know about longevity yet, it is sturdy and well made all things considered. Allows you to be hands free to take care of other things. A good medical device.

The PERFECT post hip replacement ice pack
This is a perfect ice pack:It gets very cold but stays flexible fresh out of the freezer so it won’t hurt the incision line. It gets much colder than the traditional one-size-for-all-surgeries hospital ice pack I received.It’s big: post op day one my entire hip ached (into my groin, down my leg, around to my buttock). This ice pack hits ALL of these areas at once! The cold really helps.It can be hard to secure around your leg at first but I got the hang of it quickly & could do it independently after the first time.The Velcro works so well. It holds the pack in place AND is easy to adjust if you need to reposition it.The design allows for pretty good range of motion with post op exercises. The cold really does help with the pain & enables you to do the exercises as often as you’re supposed to.It’s cold, NOT wet: There’s nothing to leak – it’s gel, nit liquid & it doesn’t “sweat” as it warms up. I secured it over hospital scrub bottoms: no wet spots & my skin didn’t get too cold.I’m ordering another to swap out so I always have a “cold one”!
