I would like to say that this is the best heat pad or I should say pads I have ever owned. First I purchased the neck and shoulder that crosses in front thinking it was this one, the cape like model, was a little disappointed at first. However, it worked wonderfully and I was able to lay it down on the bed and heat my lower back and up the sides of my back. It is amazing.I loved it so much that I came back and purchased this model and am so happy I did. It heats up slow, but once they get hot, it’s on!!! It penetrates the heat deep into the body and relives all the muscle tension and helps relax everything.My wife and I both use it now I use both but not at the same time. It gets good and hot. I found it better to use one then use the other on a different body part later.Other heat pads don’t come with arm pit straps that hold the pad close to your body for full relief, this one does.If you would like to get up and get a drink or forgot your phone in another room. You can simply turn the unit off and twist and unplug it go do what you need to do with the cord in your pocket or you can hold it. Then when you have what you need you can plug and twist, turn it back on and your ready to go again with it still right where you want it.The controls are simple and easy. The memory feature is great because once you find your sweet spot you want to keep it there and then you can just strap in and relax. The timer being part of the memory is fantastic because you can forget how long you have been using it. It’s not good to have that heat on you all the time. In terms of therapy.I have been dealing with chronic pain for many years. Migraines, muscle tension, you name it. This has been the heat pad that has worked the best, and I hope the longest. The electric blanket heat pads don’t even come close to the relief the this provides.In short, this is the best heating pad I have ever owned I may even purchase the flat pad. The only thing I would ask to change is that I wish it were a little longer in the back and that they were a bit more affordable. Quality Made.
The item is quality made. We have a rectangular heating pad with the same ceramic disks that heat up- but that one’s too bulky. This new one is lighter and fits nicely around the shoulder.The thermostat doesn’t seem to heat up as well, or maybe they don’t want to heat the disk’s too much?Or maybe the thermostat doesn’t heat up too much. Not sure which.

Smaller Size – Repeat Customer
This would be my third UTK natural stone pad. The first two are flat: Small Pro and Medium Pro sizes. Both have worked well – with no issues, for the 3 years I’ve owned them. Being female of average height (just over 5′.7″) who wears a size small in clothing, I opted to get the smaller size Neck and Shoulder heating pad. The seller’s images showed the stones on the back and shoulder portion not in contact with some bodies so I opted to try to ensure every stone made contact with my body by getting the smaller size. The portion of the pad resting on my back hits me at the shoulder blades, but is not long enough to cover the shoulder blades. The design is good and likely the best option however, it does put a significant amount of heat on the breast area simply due to the closure system. That’s not a bad thing, just something I predict I’ll adjust with a towel when I want less heat on the front than on the shoulders and neck.The unit took 4 minutes to produce notable heat, and within 9 minutes was already at 114°. To me this a normal and agreeable “warm up” up period. I would have to disagree with those who chose to describe it as taking long to heat. The unit works as well as any other units I own, which was expected. As usual, everything comes with a bit of a toxic smell when new. I let mine sit outdoors in a covered area for a couple days to air out. It’s not egregious, but I’m sensitive to it. Finally the material is why I opted to get this device. That HORRIBLE bonded (fake) leather nonsense on my flat mats disintegrated and now habitually make a mess. This material I suspect with hold up to the heat and not “shed” and fall apart. So I hope anyway. UTK has proven to be a reliable product for me that I use every single day and throughout the night. I hope you enjoy yours.
