Soft, comfortable and great for cosplay!
I purchased this product in order to use for a cosplay at the recommendation of many sites and tutorials.I have almost nearly used up the entire roll, so let me give you some of my experiences:It cuts easy. You don’t even need a heated blade to cut this foam unless you are going for detailed precision. I used a regular old folding knife to size it out into various squares and rectangles so I could further refine them for the pieces I needed. Simple. Be mindful, though, that it is rolled and may be a bit difficult to hold still as you cut. I would recommend rolling it out completely and flattening it with weights in order to make precision cuts.It also burns/melts easily. Don’t hold your heat sources to it for more than a second or two or you risk melting away at the foam and leaving ugly indents. On the topic of heat, though, it is very easy to shape using a heat gun. Make sure to use the mid-range heat setting and do a simple quick sweep over the flat side of the foam – you will notice the difference. The color will become slightly darker as the foam reacts to the heat and starts to contract and seal. I normally do one pass across each piece, shape it a bit, do another pass as it cools, shape some more, rinse and repeat. Be careful not to hold the heat gun too close or for too long or else the foam will begin to bubble and become rough. If you burn it, it will turn an ugly white-ish color.Hot Glue: This foam is absolutely fantastic for hot glue. Hot glue bonds and hardens quickly with this foam. Before this, I was used to holding pieces of 3/8 foam together for 5 to 10 minutes at a time until the glue had set but the foam from this mat takes half that time. Be careful not to burn yourself on the glue, though, as it seems to also run pretty easily at bad angles. I’ve already suffered three separate hot glue burns and they aren’t fun, lol.Paint and Plasti-Dip: Plasti-Dip and rustoleum spray paint works extremely well on this foam. Follow the recommended steps of 3 layers of plasti-dip over an hour and the same for spray paint.As far as using it for its intended purpose… I did create a pair of shoes for my cosplay and I used this foam for my insoles. The foam is very comfortable to walk on and definitely feels like it will live up to its name.Highly recommended.

Great for Cosplay
I use this for cosplay. Personally, buying the rolls is better because it provides more space and freedom of movement when cutting out pieces for different costume parts. Just make sure to have weights when cutting to keep it flat.The thickness is perfect to maintain shape and sturdiness, allowing for shaping while staying light. It takes well to heat shaping, plasti-dip, and painting too.I’ve used it for a Mandalorian cosplay, a No Face mask, and a few other cosplay items. I highly recommend it, and will continue to buy it.

Possibly the best dog crate mat ever!
Perfect! I bought this for the crate I bought, for my newly adopted German Shepherd. I only had to trim 1/4″ off the long end and it fits on the metal floor grate, “as snug as a bug in a rug”, as the saying goes.It’s flat and has weight to it too, unlike many which were made for crates and I’m sure my separation-anxiety-Tasmanian-Devil dog would have made mincemeat out of any other mat.The anti slip bottom has (so far) kept it from moving and he hasn’t pulled it up yet.This may be one of my top ten purchases this year.

Great cushion on tile kitchen floor, no edges that create issues with rugs on top. Cat lovers need coverage for their anti-fatigue mats as the usual ones attract cats like a scratching post. I cover these with washable kitchen rugs and it’s awesome. Size is perfect, surprisingly cushy for the thickness.

Great Anti Fatigue Mat for My Shop!
Exactly what I was looking for! Something for a reasonable price that was easy to install and maintain. Took me longer to open the box than it did to install. Easy to reconfigure and easy to add onto in the future. As I make my work bench longer, I will only have to order another package and slide it together. Assembly could not be easier than putting a simple puzzle piece in place when all the pieces are identical. Move (if you need to) the edge pieces to the appropriate places and you have a very nice looking comfy mat to give your tire dogs and legs a break! Could not believe that I ordered this on Wednesday afternoon and it was delivered the next day before 2pm! I’ll update as it ages as to its durability but from the looks of things, it’s going to hold up just fine. Professional look without the high price.

I cut this to fit the narrow floor of a utility closet. It protects the painted floor and provides a nonslip cushioned floor underfoot. Cuts easily with a box cutter and hard edge guide. Also cut a circle out of a remnant to put in the bottom of my utensil canister, so the utensils don’t clatter against the ceramic.

The matting was purchased for a skid to raise my washer and dryer off the basement floor. I needed something that was soft but not mussy. This is perfect for my application. It reduces the noise. The wash machine doesn t bounce like it did on the cement floor. It also provides for a soft step to reach up to the upper shelves. The price was very good. For my application I am very satisfied.
