Updated review. Only lasted 13 months
Update: Disappointed with it now at the 13 month mark. In the last couple weeks it’s started to not always turn on or it will only run a few minutes then shut off. It’s had moderate usage. It did seem to help open my ear canals when they are blocked and it works really well on crampsWhen it dies for good ill try a different brand. I don’t expect years of usage out of something like this but 13 months is a bit ridiculous.Original: This is a great neck massager. I like that there are 3 intensity settings. The price is good. And bonus, with a recent bout of a plugged up ear I found that using this to massage just below my eye helped relieve some of the pressure. I can also be used on your back and other areas just as well.

Stopped working after first use.
I will be returning this product. The first time I used it, it was AMAZING! Fixed the pain in my neck which was why I even bought the thing. I went to go use it last night and it’s completely not working. When I press the power button, nothing happens ( and yes it’s plugged in ). I spent around $50 dollars. $50 bucks I really didn’t have to spend and now this thing is defective. If you’re going to buy this, expect it to break after the first use

Not at all what we expected
Unfortunately, this massager did not work for us and we will be returning. It took all of 10 minutes to determine this was not at all what we expected. It is heavy, bulky and inconvenient. You must use it in a chair that does not have a back that reaches your neck or the massager will push your head forward. We tried it in a shorter backed chair and unless you pull down on the straps, it will slide backward. My wife tried to read while using it, but had to keep one hand holding both straps in order to hold her book. The neck and back massage pillows work much better and are less bulky.

Stopped working
I read the reviews about this massager not lasting long and still bought it, in hopes mine would. I used my about 10-15 times and now it doesn’t work. I’m very sad. I might see if I can get it repaired because it worked really well on the muscles between my shoulder blades that seize up from time to time. It was a life saver. It made it so I could actually go to work the next day.

Excellent torque, Wimpy gears — NOT cost effective.
The first thing I noticed was that this thing was not shy to get right in there and rub my muscles. I was really impressed. I have bought 4 or 5 shoulder massagers in the last couple of years and this one rubbed into my back like it meant it — way better than the rest. Unfortunately, after owning it for only 17 days (not using it daily — just a few times a week but for 2-6 hours at a time), the gears for rotating are starting to slip on one side. The mechanisms inside were not designed *at all* to hold up to the power of the motor. I would *not* recommend buying this one. The other ones I got lasted for at least 3 or 4 months each. (I decorate cakes, so I use the heck out of my massagers to relieve the body strain. I would be better off to drop $ on a massage therapist than to buy another of this brand of shoulder massager.) Great massager, but mechanisms wear out so fast; it is not cost effective

Stops working after just 1 month
Worked great for the return window, then stopped working and now I’m stuck with this broken junk without being able to return. I wouldn’t buy this product or recommend you waste your money on it, unfortunately. I used it maybe 4 times before it stopped turning on. Now, when I plug it in, nothing happens at all.

I bought this as a gift for my husband whom has bad neck and back pain thinking this would help relieve some of it. The day it arrived we took it out of the box and tried it out… The straps are too short in length. We thought, whatever, we can deal with that… Well, we must have gotten a defective one because when you turn it on with the heat mode, it just shuts of entirely. It’ll work for a few seconds, then turns off. It does have an automatic shut off, but that’s after 20 minutes I believe of constant running but if you turn on heat mode, the whole thing just stops. Also, it’s very sensitive as to pressure. He had sat on the couch and lightly leaned back on it behind his neck and it shut off. So, definitely not a good purchase. Wanted this to work out so bad. Very disappointed.

Scarily painful
This is the worst massage/body therapy thing I’ve ever bought. It basically just sucks. It’s uncomfortable and no nuance. It hurts and is rough even on low setting. This is largely in part because the massage knobs are spaced too closely together, yet are also pretty wide as knobs, so they always find a way to dig into your spine itself in a painful and possibly dangerous way. If they were farther apart or designed to clear a middle area, you might be able to not jab your vertebrae every few seconds. Plus, the fit of it is weird and the arm straps (which can’t be adjusted) aren’t long enough to hold it in more than a couple positions/in a place that massages where you want it to, anyway.

Bought this massager for my sister when she liked the one I have. So far it’s worked great and she loves it. It has a car adapter making it easy to take with you on long trips for passengers to use!

Ich hatte ja schon einmal ein Massagekissen, aber dieses ist unschlagbar. Ich bin sehr verspannt und beim ersten Benutzen war es sooo schmerzhaft das ich meinen Nacken 2 Tage lang nicht berühren konnte. Aber, danach fühlte ich mich viel besser. Es zeigt also Wirkung. Es ist aber wirklich sehr stark beim massieren. Schade finde ich nur das bei dem Gerät NUR der Nacken massiert wird und nicht die Schultern.
