Best mat I’ve ever had
Best mat I’ve ever used. I’ve been doing yoga for over 20 years. I never bough an expensive mat because I didn’t think I needed to. I WAS SO WRONG! This is worth the price, amazing durability, I feel like I can balance better. My sessions have been more meaningful and the super grip texture is awesome. Be cautious, it can feel a bit rougher on your knees as far as the surface, but the density of the mat is nice and comfortable and cushions well. Can really work on any surface too. No gross chemical smell upon opening either. I love this mat.

The Perfect Crossover Mat
I purchased the Manduka X mat through Amazon after having seen it at a local sporting goods shop. I had been looking for the ‘perfect’ mat and didn’t notice this on the Manduka site. This mat is great, it is deeply textured, lightweight (like the PROlite), strong, and 5mm thick (like the PRO). Also, I wanted a black mat. It is deep black (but comes in two other colors). The only noticeable drawback in this type of mat is that it can kink and show noticeable lines. It arrived with kinks on the end where it had been rolled tight for packaging and shipping. Time has not removed them completely but they are only noticeable to me and I expect them to go away completely. I have to roll the mat large with some care and consideration so as not to kink it myself. It is closed cell and dries very quickly. The deep texture means that I have to spend a little more time wiping it clean but it holds all of my towels better. It is also grippy, probably why it is touted as their ‘athletic’ mat. I think it is very stylish and the best looking mat at the studio, and i even like how Manduka stitched the logo on the side. One of those happy purchases.

Great mat
Love my mat! Love the purple color. Sticky enough. Easy to clean. I’m not a heavy sweater during yoga so it’s never slippery for me but when I clean it, I can definitely see how it could be an issue.

Good but it could be better
I’ve been using the yoga mat for 3 months already. It is good and worth. Please consider that if you sweat a lot it may not be the one. You can tell after a hard yoga practice how your hands slipped a little, not a big thing but I can’t be uncomfortable. The texture it’s a little weird but you get used to it. Also make sure to clean it well after every practice cause it gets dirty fast. If you are not that pro or if you don’t do hot yoga very often it is a great mat.

Sturdy, sticky, comfortable
I’m a beginner yogi who was leveling up from the studio mats. After a lot of research, and seeing most of my teachers using Manduka, I tried this Manduka X. Right away, the mat offered stability and stickiness that the lovingly worn studio mats had lacked. It’s also a thick mat, offering protection from the hard floor. (I still use a blanket for hands-and-knees poses, but not as often.) I will say that’s it’s heavier to lug around than lesser mats, so be prepared for all that stability to announce itself when you’re carrying it. Since I don’t have to bike or walk far with it, I’m fine with its weight. Overall, I’m very happy I went this direction. I foresee this mat lasting years.

BUY IT! It’s worth the money!
This yoga mat was pricey but honestly it’s AMAZING! I do hot yoga/Pilates the room is between 95/105 degrees. It’s safe to say I sweat ALOT and this mat doesn’t budge. It does it a little slippery when I’m dripping sweat but over all I am very firm and stable on it! Hands down best yoga mat I’ve ever purchased! 10/10 recommend!!!

Love it. Good traction
Does not slip at all. Maybe too much traction for some people, but I love it. Also thickness is perfect for yoga and all sorts of floor exercises. Also quite easy to clean.

Awful mat went hard and crunchy and slippery
This mat absolutely sucks. It’s awful. We bought it 4 years ago and it has gone slippery, hard and crunchy ?? There’s no reason why because we have kept it in exactly the same place as a 15-year-old match which is still going well. Manduka’s customer service was rubbish some excuses about not having a lifelong guarantee but to be honest I would expect a yoga match to last more than 3 years which was how old it was when it started to go crunchy and dry ! I’m seriously disappointed with this product and I’m unlikely to buy a manduka ever again

Después de 10 años de práctica, puedo decir que Manduka es la mejor marca de tapetes de yoga que he tenido. La calidad, el agarre y la durabilidad son inigualables. Son cómodos, tienen el soporte perfecto y mejoran con el uso.Son los únicos tapetes que uso y los que tengo en mi estudio para mis alumnos.
