Excellent option of you know how to use it
Works great for my daughter’s school lunch. Her food is packed by 5am and lunchtime is at 11:30 amTo ensure food is kept warm until lunchtime I add boiling water to the bowl, cover and allow to sit for 1 hour.I will empty the water , dry the bowl , place the hot food inside and coverright.away. I will release the steam before placing in the littlecase, then place both in a proper insulated lunchbag.I also add a pyrex hotpack to the main lunchbag so the food has warmt throughout the bag.

Doesn’t keep food warm
My daughter wanted a bento box that would keep her food warm the way her thermos does, so we tried this stainless steel option. With a thermos, you preheat by filling with hot water and covering for 15 minutes before dumping the water and adding food. That method works great for a thermos, but I can’t come up with a comparable way to heat this box. Her food was not hot at lunch, just 3 hours after packing.

Got this as my Son in hospital and hates the food so I’ve been cooking at home and travelling with this lunchbox.It doesn’t keep it hot but it’s warm and the food stays in the compartment.Great having cutlery in separate compartment.I do wish it could keep food hotter but my son was just grateful for food he could eat.Great value too and not to heavy to carry
