Got this just recently. It’s perfect or my needs. I get on my computer first thing every morning so I have it setup behind my monitor so that it sort of peaks over the top of the monitor. It’s very bright but I can still see the monitor enough to get work done.Good quality, lots of options for brightness/color.Recommend it highly.

Great addition to my daily routines!
Love this! Use it multiple times everyday and it seems to help, especially now that it gets dark by 4pm here in Wisconsin. Love the multiple functions and the ease of use. It’s not super movable because the base is heavy, so I use this in my living room and bought a different light to keep on my desk, so I don’t think there’s a lot of flexibility in where you will use it.

I bought this because where I’m living my animals and I go days with light seeing the sun. The bottom is very heavy and it has not fallen over or gotten knocked over by my beastly dogs yet. I love the size. I use it all day and evening rather than ceiling lights or lamps. I’m very happy with it and I think it works. I like the shape and size. It was worth the money. It is able to change colors and brightness. 10/10

I work from home and am on video calls all day. Requiring a decent lighting setup so I can look my best on camera. I used to have a ring light for this function. Recently, my doctor told me to get a therapy lamp to help with my mood, as Winter is coming.This lamp is nice because it can sit at two heights. I would prefer it to be a bit more adjustable, but it does fit well on my desk at the lowest height. It’s much brighter than the ring light it replaced. I have to keep it on the medium setting or it’s way too bright.Using a lux meter on my phone, with the lamp at 50% brightness and me standing ~30 inches away the lamp measures about 5800 lux at my eye. Considering I have it on at minimum 2 hours a day I think I should be getting enough light to improve my mood.

Product as advertised! Took all of two minutes to assemble, they even included a real screwdriver for the two little screws, everything else just screws together in place.I wish I’d read the product description more carefully. I thought this lamp had a function to turn on at the same time every day, but fortunately ON is the default state when plugged in, which means a smart plug will do the trick!All in all a pretty solid purchase. The base is heavy and the poles sturdy enough that I’m not worried about it ever getting knocked over. The two AAA batteries included for the remote were dead, but fortunately I had a few on hand.Would absolutely recommend for anyone with SAD or even chronic depression. I’ve been having a rough time even now in August, and this lamp eased that a little pretty much immediately, so I’m cautiously excited to see how well this helps long term and through this winter.

I’m happy with this purchase. The light is packaged very well. Easy to put together, a child could put it together. Quality build, heavy base keeps the light stable. Functionality: Remote has several different options, Reading, Gaming, Computer, even a relaxing coffee or tea function. Everything works as advertised. Better than anticipated!

Shines DOWN
I love that this lamp can be adjusted for floor lamp (next to reading chair) or desk lamp. I chose desk top and the black blends right in with the monitors on my desk. I positioned mine right behind my two monitors and it bends over the top of them to shine DOWN onto my workspace. So it doesn’t shine into my eyes blinding me, but shines onto my eyelids like the sun. I originally wanted it as a floor lamp next to my desk, but I have an adjustable stand up desk and the floor lamp is not tall enough for when my desk is in stand up mode. I like the different settings. When I’m on video, it’s a great light but not at full brightness. When not on video, first thing in the morning, I have it on full brightness. It’s 24 inches from my face, so an hour or two in the morning works wonderfully to energize me (I am not a coffee or energy drink person). Sometimes if I find myself fading in the afternoon, I’ll turn it on for 30 minutes then as well. I got this on sale and there was a coupon, too, so it was a great buy for me.

I love this so freaking much. I got this one because an independent person on a forum type website made a post talking about these kinds of sun lamps and how bright they actually are and the wavelengths of light. I’m really pleased with the brightest option in the morning as well as different options during the day. The stand is really sturdy and I like the remote (well, liked. Don’t lose your remote like me, folks! Easy for me to just reach over and turn it on in the morning, but the remote was nice when I had it lol!)

I set up the SAD lamp using a smart plug, scheduled to turn on every morning at 7 AM through a mobile app. The smart plug is not included with the lamp, but it’s necessary if you want it to turn on automatically. The built-in timer on the lamp only works to turn it off and needs to be set manually each time—it does not have an option to turn itself on.I keep the lamp on my bedside, and I’ve found it to be a very effective way to start the day. It took about four weeks before I noticed a difference, and I’ve now been using it every day for seven weeks. The lamp remembers the last brightness and color settings, so when used with a smart plug, it turns on with the same settings automatically.At this point, I’m able to wake up naturally before the lamp even turns on, and I’ve noticed an improvement in both the quality of my sleep and my overall energy levels.I rarely use the included remote. I recommend using the lamp at full brightness for 15 minutes; any longer might feel too intense.

It became more than just a therapy lamp. It’s the main source of light in my bedroom (I love how is diffusing the light, have different intensities, color temperatures, remote working very well and that I can program it to turn off and I can move it around— which is good for different type of work)— plus, occasionally I use it for what it was designed for.

Light has amazing features! But the MAX intensity seems less . The Side by side Comparison to my 10,000 lux therapy light purchased for $250+ 2 yrs ago; this light seems less bright even though it is advertised as 12,000 lux. I would guess it is 8,000 lux. That is still bright. The lamp has great features, like yellow / amber light of varying intensities so as not to disturb you sleep cycles in the evenings , and very white light at varying intensities for focused work, a timer, perfect positioning. Height adjustment is made permanent when you put the lamp together, so you can’t adjust it up & down, during the day. Decided to keep it for all its convenient features…Will keep it ON longer to hopefully get a therapeutic effect for SADS.One wk later: i’ve been using it in the evenings at the low yellow setting. I can read and watch TV with this light setting.. i’m surprised! but I seem to be getting to sleep a lot easier than before . Changed rating to 5 stars
