One of the Most Popular Snacks at the Girls and Boys Club!
These packets are so worth the price! 72 of them for near $30.00! Each one supposedly weighs 2 ounces, but they are very very filling! I’ve purchased a few boxes of these now for the local Boys and Girls Club where I volunteer. I have more listed on our wish list because they are just THAT good.I’m not a huge fan of nut mixes, and I don’t care for chocolate- so these aren’t really a huge hit with me. On the other hand, the kids can’t get enough of them. When most of my kiddos arrive after school, they’re really hungry. And for some of my children it might be the only meal they get all night. So we try to offer filling semi-healthy snacks. I’ll hand these out twice a night. 72 packets will last us one evening; and occasionally we’ll run short. But that’s because no kids says “I don’t like that.” Every single child wants one of these. They’re a really popular snack! And so much better than cookies or chips.These particular packs have small chocolate candies (similar to M&M’s), raisins, peanuts, cashews, and a few salty seeds. It’s a great mix of foods for the kids. Settles their craving for salt and chocolate all at once. Plus, to me, it seems a bit healthier than other snacks. The nuts offer protein. And the raisins are a good substitute for fruit. The candies make them feel like they’re actually eating a snack and not a trail mix.The packets are a good size for any kid 5 and up. They’re pretty easy to open and most kids can get them open by themselves. Sometimes I’ll need to help the younger kids, but even then- most are independent and can manage on their own. I like snacks that open easily, because it’s a pain to open 50 snacks for all of my kiddos when I could be doing other more constructive things.I like these packets too because the kids can hold them and walk around. Individual packets are more efficient than larger bags that I need to separate into cups for each kid. With these I can just give them a packet and be done with it. With other snacks sometimes they’ll continue to complain about hunger after they’ve finished eating. With these snacks the complaining is pretty much non-existant. They always seem really full when finished. And as a girl who doesn’t want any kid going hungry- this is a good thing. We’re on a pretty tight budget and I can’t feed them as much as I’d like to. So this snack is one of my go-to investments.All in all- love these, and will continue to buy them! A really great filling snack!

Delicious snack
This is not “spicy” which I like. Just has a slight kick to it. Pairs well with the sweet and it has the perfect balance of sweet and spicy flavors. The calories are a little high but it’s worth it. Found in a vending machine and went straight to Amazon to find a full size and glad I did! Will repurchase.

Some batches are too spicy
This was my 3rd purchase over the last year of this mix and the latest bag was overly spiced. Wow, this last bag packed a punch. I enjoy spicy foods and fell in love at first with this mix, but there seems to be an issue with their quality control because this last bag had mostly spicy ingredients (heavy on the peanuts) and overdone on the cayenne spice. Too bad, because my first impression was it was a nice balance of sweet & spicy.

One of my favorite gluten free snacks
I’ve got celiac disease, so I’m always on the lookout for a good snack that’s safe to eat. Someone recommend the Kar’s snack mixes, so I tried them out. This one is my favorite. It’s a little spicy, but not too much so, for me. That, mixed with a little sweetness, makes for a nice overall flavor. I love that this has sesame sticks, which is nearly impossible to find gluten free, which leads to my only complaint – Kar’s doesn’t sell just the sesame sticks on their own – I’ve asked them. I would love to be able to buy them separately. For now, I’ll continue to enjoy them in this mix.
