I decided to write this review because I just took out yet another perfectly heated lunch and realized how much I loved this product and never shared a review. It was sheer coincidence that it’s the sixth anniversary of buying this product.With out a doubt, HotLogic is one of our most RELIABLE and often used products we’ve EVER purchased on Amazon, this little miracle does what it does simply and perfectly, all the time, every time! I almost always bring leftovers with me to work, and the first thing I do when I get to my desk is plug in my HotLogic and zip my plastic lunch container inside. By the time lunch time rolls around I have a perfectly heated meal waiting for me! Yum! I have the mini and fell in love with it so much that I bought my wife the larger one with the included glass container.One thing that bears mentioning that often gets overlooked, is the fact that this works so much better than a microwave! Because this heats with gently from the bottom, your food will heat more evenly and still taste the way you intended it to be; delicious, hot, moist, and uniformly heated. I hated waiting in line at work to share the one messy, smelly microwave, and then have to walk back with my hot food to my office.Also, if you get an inexpensive AC adapter for your vehicle’s lighter port, you can have HotLogic heating your meal as you drive. It’s great for long car trips, camping, or even the drive-in!

Great for families on the go
I bought this to be able to feed my kiddo home-cooked food on the go/in the car due to her busy scheduled. It’s worked out perfectly. It plugs into my vehicle (there are different types of plugs) so I can warm it up/keep it warm until she’s in the car and ready to eat. It heats up really well but not so hot that you can’t leave a plastic lid on the glass bowls or container that I use. Highly recommend for families on the go who don’t want to eat fast food every night.

Grade A Game Changer!!!
I rarely right reviews on Amazon, but this product has literally changed my LIFE.First off, this product is so simple to use, you literally just plug it in with your food (I used a frozen meal for example) and it works its magic! I knew it would take ~2 hours to fully heat my frozen meal, so I plugged it in at work ~9am. I ended up forgetting about it until 2:30pm and my food was still hot and tasted better than it ever did in the microwave!! I literally held my Hotlogic up to my coworker and told her how much I love this product then also turned to the product itself and told it, “I love you.”I will no longer be doing my body the disservice of using a microwave. This product is a straight up GAME CHANGER.

As mentioned in other reviews, this food warmer is really just a hotplate in an insulated bag.At first glance the Hot Logic Mini doesn’t seem to be very special. However, upon closer inspection (and use) it is apparent that Hot Logic has put a lot of thought into this product and the intended use and has produced a very well-made and useful product.Plus, after much research I can’t find any other product out there that comes close to matching the features and versatility of this portable food warmer. The attractive double zippered nylon case opens and closes easily and the 48″ electric cord is long enough for my needs. (Note: The cord can be folded and stored in the pocket in the back of the case.)Eager to try it out I simply dumped some chili in one of my many Pyrex glass containers (I prefer glass containers.), snapped on the container lid, zippered the Hot Logic Min shut, and plugged it in. 45 minutes later, I had piping hot chili. Of course your result will vary depending on starting food temperature, portion size, container size, etc.Note: You can use most any appropriately sized flat bottomed container (with tight cover) as the maximum heating/cooking temperature will not reach over 212 degrees. (The warming plate will cycle off and on maintain a maximum temperature of 212 degrees.) At this temperature food will be kept well above the recommended 135 to 165 degrees for food safety, but not hot enough to burn your food or container.After use, you simply have to wash the container you used. (Much easier than some of the warming products where the container is built in or requires that you buy disposable liners.)I did read a few non-positives about this product such as it not having an on/off switch. However, I am ok with that as a switch would add bulk and is just one more thing that could break. However, if you are using this at an office and have to crawl underneath your desk to reach an outlet, you might think about getting an extension cord with a switch or at least one placed so you can easily plug and unplug this warmer.Also, this unit only runs on 110v AC (household current), however this is not a big dealer to me either as it is only pulling 42 Watts and even the cheapest DC to AC inverter should be able to handle that. Plus, many new cars come with an AC outlet built in.Bottom line I am very happy with this purchase. I can heat up (or cook)food as I drive down the road and pull over under a shady tree and have a nice hot lunch (and a nap afterwards). When I get to a hotel I can keep it in the room to heat up leftovers or food I buy from the market. I’ll also use it at home to heat up (and possibly cook)food as it uses a lot less electricity than my oven or microwave. Plus, I don’t have to plan my meal times perfectly as the Hot Logic Mini will keep my hot food at the right temperature for hours.I hope this review helps!

Good item but needs some improvements
The Hotlogic Mini is a good idea and works decently but it takes much longer to actually heat up food. It is easy to use, just put the food container inside, zip it up and plug in. However the design needs some upgrades if possible. The heating element takes alittle while to heat up and the zip cover needs better insulation to keep the heat in. Would get 5 stars if it heated up faster, held heat better and actually heated up the food within an hr.

Got this a week or so go, now that the weather is getting colder. I drive an average of 300miles a day. As a few other reviews mentioned, it gets expensive/boring to get out or pack cold lunches.I plug it in about an hour or two before I get to work and it works well.First time using it off gasses some weird smells. I’d recommend just plugging it in for an hour with the windows open, not during a drive through a storm like me.The bag itself doesn’t retain heat long after it’s off but it keeps the heat in without heating the surroundings while it’s on.If you’re heating stuff that are more dense and less liquid, you might need to flip/stir it unless you’re driving for less than an hour.

This is an amazing product. I never realized how much a microwave dries out or toughens food. Being a fitness person who packs meals, my food sometimes is not that tasty, nuking it made it worse. With this, gently warming it makes the food taste way better. I recommend this big time. If you are a fitness person, this is a must have especially when traveling. When competing, you can warm your meals anywhere!!!Just an update, I found that you need to use storage containers that are wide, sort of matching the surface of the warming plate. I know this makes sense and most of you would already know this. I noticed this when using more narrow tall containers that I was using due to limitations of my lunch bag and it did not heat the food nearly as well. So if you make sure you use wide and longer containers like the one in the photo below, you will see this thing works amazingly. This is a life saver as I prepare all my meals and love having the ability to warm them gently so that the flavors are not nuked to death.

Great to have heated lunches now and not be using a gas station microwave or eating cold sandwiches any more. I drive truck for a living in town and works great. Depending on what you are heating up (frozen or not) I usually plug it in for 1 hour. If it’s is only soup probably would be less time.Find a container that is microwave safe. The container your pre made meals come in at the grocery/Walmart is probably not adequate and may melt. Find a better container. I saw someone with a melted container and they probably is a cheap container that came with the food they bought.I use a glass container or a plastic microwave / dishwasher safe container to reheat my food in. Also works fine in my Tandem truck with 24 volt batteries. Will be buying another one for a friend.

I’m so happy that I found this finally. Quality, size, performance, everything with HotLogic mini is great. It is engineered obviously and is not a cheap product. I use it in my car, so I use a regular inverter (180W, I think!) and it works well. It warms up my food in 1.5hrs. Great little cooker, cooks my dinner every night at work while i am driving, i thought it wasn’t working at first but i was putting my mobile on it and the air in the cooker couldn’t get to the top, so once i realised this i rigged a thing for it to keep the handle up so air gets to the top and around my dinner from with in the bag, works well now, defrosts my dinner every night in about 2 hours or less, don’t put things on it! It won’t cook otherwise.
