Stomach Sleeper Review: DROWSY Silk Sleep Mask versus MZOO Luxury Sleep Eye Mask
I absolutely love this product, and the price was totally worth it for me! Before this, I used a basic silk sleep mask with an elastic band, which I bought a few times from Amazon. When they stopped making it, I decided it was time for an upgrade. I was torn between the DROWSY Silk Sleep Mask and the MZOO Luxury Sleep Eye Mask, both of which have strong ratings. I tried both, in case anyone else is curious about the two. For context, I’m a stomach sleeper. The MZOO mask intrigued me because of the padding, but I found it really uncomfortable—the eye cutouts irritated me, and felt too large. The padded cushion also pressed into my face in a way I didn’t enjoy. The DROWSY mask, on the other hand, is amazing. The silk padding feels so lovely, and I find the way it hugs my head super comforting. My hair also looks really good after wearing it. It definitely does the job blocking out the light and it’s comfy in all positions. I also haven’t had issues with it coming off in the night. Definitely the luxury upgrade I was looking for!

The best sleep mask on Amazon
I ordered every high-end sleep mask they sell on Amazon (DROWSY, Lunya, SECZIPE, Baloo, Nodpod, and Bearaby) and tested them all. Most of them had non-adjustable elastic which was either too tight, or will eventually become too loose. The DROWSY was the winner hands-down. It has a velcro adjustable back which stays in place nicely and is not too thick when the two ends are connected together. The front of the mask is super soft on my face, blocks 100% of the light, and the sides cover your ears and block out background noise. I have to buy another one since my girlfriend who has always hated sleep masks, stole mine and she loves it.

Lux Mask
I used to use a Lunya sleep mask but they kept wearing out and were always too large. I love this mask! The velcro is nice because you can size it to your head and the quality of the fabric is excellent. Overall I’m really happy with the fit and product as a whole plus it’s about half the price of a Lunya.

Best mask I’ve ever owned, but seam coming apart
I’ve owned quite a few eye masks in a quest to find one that is comfortable for a stomach sleeper and actually blocks light, and this one does the job better than any others I’ve tried. I love the wrap-around strap style that doesn’t pull on my ears, and it stays in place even when I move.Unfortunately, I’ve owned it for around 8 months and the seam on the nose area suddenly came apart so that I can see the filling inside. I’ve had to stop using it until I can see about getting sewing materials to see if I can fix it. I have used it somewhat regularly since I got it, but not every single day, and typically only put it on for an hour or so in the mornings after the sun comes up. I have also never traveled with it and packed it roughly or put it in the washing machine, so I’m disappointed in the lifespan being so short from gentle regular use for an item with such a high price tag. I absolutely loved it, but won’t be investing in another if they last for less than a year.

Not functional, ripoff
I purchased this mask as a substitute to my $20 mask with an elastic band. Because this mask doesn’t have a band, I was hoping it will last longer, and while that is true, the mask just doesn’t do its main job.First of all, it doesn’t have indents for eyes, which makes it less comfortable than other masks I’ve tried before.Second of all, it slides all over your face leaving marks sometimes. The material is ok – feels nice.Lastly, it doesn’t offer full blackout – the nose flaps allow the light to penetrate the mask, because the fit is not tight enough. The mask is also very thick, so washing and drying it is a pain. It drips dye when being washed even in cold water.Save yourself some money, this mask doesn’t do its job.

I wanted to give an accurate review of this mask, considering the price of it. So I’ve used it for three months, so I can be certain on how I feel about it.First of all, I’m a very poor sleeper. I was at the end of my tether with my husband waking me up coming to bed late every night (not really his fault, I’m a very light sleeper), so I invested in a mask and a sound machine.The combination of both has really helped me to be disturbed a lot less. I genuinely don’t think I could sleep without this mask now, with that being said I did not try a cheaper alternative (I’ve seen a couple of dupes on here but I wanted to try the real deal, rather than waste money on them and then on top of that end up buying this in the end) so I bit the bullet from the start and just bought it. The price is eye watering. It really doesn’t need to be this expensive.It comes in a lovely box, feels luxurious, it doesn’t look as thick and padded as it does in the pictures. But it’s still comfy and blacks out light if I tie it tight. It helps me to fall asleep a lot faster than normal, it’s very silky soft and relaxing, as soon as you put it on it just feels like a big hug.I haven’t tried to wash it yet. Grim I know (I do double cleanse before bed though my face is clean) but I’m just so scared of ruining the mask after the price of it. I don’t think it would be the same after a wash, the silk seems quite flimsy.I would only buy it on sale, the standard price is too high. I’d say for me who was being woken up every night it’s worth it, if anything happened to it id most likely repurchase.UPDATE: I have had this mask for [too ashamed to say] and still haven’t washed it, so today I put it on a cold hand wash cycle, air dried it on the radiator and it still looks and feels the same, and hasn’t been ruined. Genuinely get stressed out if I can’t find this mask before bed now, it’s been such an investment (lol) this mask has helped me through a lot of lonely nights, it’s like my comfort teddy, in mask form 😂🥰
