Best egg substitute EVER!
Works FANTASTIC as a vegan egg substitute! Just add 3 tablespoons warm water for each tablespoon of white chia seed. Might be even better binder and leavener than actual eggs. You will not be able to detect the chia seed in the texture of your baked items. And chia is full of omega-3 fatty acids, which Americans need more of! Great product!

These are my go to chia seeds but I found a strange small black object in them. Not sure what it is. I’m not sure if it’s from the plant or if it’s a contaminant.

They present well
These white chia seeds taste just like the black ones, but they look nicer as a pudding. When you give a black gloopy looking bowl to someone who’s never had chia pudding before, it can be off putting. So, when I introduce someone to chia pudding, I always use the white ones, due to appearance. After they try the white chia pudding, they are usually more open to trying black chia pudding, which is far easier to find. The seeds weren’t old, and I’ll purchase again.
