Sanity-saving real fan white noise without blown air
I learned about this sound machine with the built-in fan at a baby store and immediately knew I needed one for myself. I highly recommend this model to anyone who prefers the sound of a real fan but doesn’t want to run a fan or doesn’t have one with a satisfying pitch and volume, or folks who can’t stand the artificial, tinny, or obvious looping of digital white noise equivalents. I use it all night to help block out my snoring partner and cats, and now many hours of the day as well that we have a baby sleeping in our room. While it may not have quite as many extra features as some of the brand’s other models, the natural fan sound is best for me and I greatly appreciate the customizability of the pitch and volume. For me, it is absolutely worth the price and helps improve this very light sleeper’s sleep. The night light is very useful too, especially now with a newborn in the room with us. I have a couple “wishes” for this item — that there were smaller steps between volume levels and that the buttons on top had some kind of tactile indication so you could identify them more easily in the dark — but aside from that I am very satisfied with this machine and will happily purchase one again if needed in the future.

Louder and lighter (travel friendly)
This thing outperforms the previous 2 models from the same manufacturer. The original was still the best in my opinion until I got this one. So far it is a major upgrade, it’s considerably louder and lighter, making it easier to move around and travel with. No data on durability yet as I have only had it a little while.

Yes You Need It!
I loved this so much I buy them for everyone! I even bought a travel one because I cannot sleep without them now. They are perfect and adjustable with sound. Has a nightlight and timers. The size is perfect for my nightstand and the buttons are super user friendly. This is one item that I absolutely recommend to anyone with sleep issues of any capacity! The quality is amazing and I will always have one of these with me for bed!

WARNING – Strange plastic burning smell
I purchased two of these sleep machines (one main, and one back-up) to use in my baby’s bedroom overnight. The first one would turn on and then shut off at random intervals. The timer wasn’t on. The outlet was in fine working order. We tried all the suggestions on their website to get it to work correctly (it would seem this is a common problem for this product), but it didn’t. We started to use the second back-up sound machine. We turned the machine on for our baby overnight. When we walked into her bedroom in the morning, the whole room smelled like overheated/burning plastic. It was coming from the sound machine, and smelled like it was the start of an electrical fire. We stopped using it immediately and notified DOHM customer service. The customer service agent said their policy is to not refund, but only replace. And the replacement process is unnecessarily laborious for the customer. Use your money to buy a different product. There are about a dozen different options. This one is not safe.

Good quality, multiple settings, loud enough
This is good quality. It is the original fan model, not the electronic noise machines with recorded audio. I tried one of those and the recording loop was so annoying. I also tried the other basic model from this brand with one setting and it didn’t really get loud enough, but this one has multiple volume settings and can really block out noise. The only downside is I think it’s overpriced. With that said I’m keeping it because there were oddly not very many other fan models on Amazon from other companies.

I’m unable to sleep in total silence so this does wonder for me when I don’t wanna have a fan on. It makes quiet and gentle noises and I usually sleep afterwards.

I bought this because we have a tenant in our basement who is loud at night; he constantly coughs and clears his throat, will cook and watch TV late into the night, and has loud conversations on the phone, all of which we can hear through our floors and vents. This noise machine has been a sanity saver. It blocks out his noises and truly helps me sleep. I love that the fan speed is adjustable so depending on how loud he is, I can adjust the speed of the fan.Edited to add I love the night light on it as well.
