Very nice “happy light”
It sat in the box until the week DST happened and then I needed it. Working night shift does not allow for me to see the sun hardly – if ever – during certain parts of the year and DST hit like a ton of bricks this year (probably because I was used to getting plenty of sun outside) prior to that. Had no problem acclimating to the bright light and use it while eating or scrolling on the phone (recommend setting a ten-minute timer when distracted). Using it almost every day at this time and it is helping keep my spirits high.

This is a nicely sized, bright light. I put it on the little table by my living room recliner, and I switch i on while I read or watch TV. It makes me feel like I’m getting a little sunlight, and it breaks through the dark, dreary days of Illinois in the Fall!

Let There Be Light
My light arrived very quickly and I am thrilled. It is small and slim, kind of like a smaller tablet. It was easy to set up – just plug in the cord which is smack dab in the middle of the back, a tiny hole. The on/off button is on the top right edge. Warning – the light is BRIGHT. I was kind of put off by how massively bright it is, but… I am enjoying it by keeping it on a table to my side. You do not have to look directly into it ( you can’t b/c it is like looking at the sun). It will do its work even if it is just at my side. I journal each morning and like having it on the table beside me. I have noticed an unexpected benefit – I can write without my glasses!!! I wear glasses for everything, but I can see perfectly to read without them when I read or write next to my Verilux. Who knew???I always go outside and sit in the sun as soon as I get up in the morning, so I can get my day/night hormones set for the day, but now with darker mornings of little or no sun, I feel this light is the perfect solution. I have a friend who uses this light to head off depression related to dark winter days, so that is another benefit I am looking forward to.The price was excellent and I highly recommend this Verilux product. You will not be disappointed!

Seems to operate well. Too new to provide feedback for effectiveness. Comfortable feeling on the face when using. So far, a good purchase but will have to update when it’s been long enough to rate effectiveness.

This light makes me so happy (no pun intended)! I use it every single day and it makes such a huge difference in my life. I feel alive, alert, and ready to take on the day. I’m engaging with friends, co-workers, and embracing life’s challenges like never before. Almost a year into using it, the light started flickering and eventually did not stay on for more than a few minutes. I was heartbroken! I called the company after noticing that I purchased it less than a year ago and they listened carefully to my story and offered to replace the light for free. I was pleasantly surprised that they are standing behind their product. I knew I took good care of the light and had not caused any damage to it. This company rocks! Demonstrating responsibility for its quality, backing it with strong customer support, and taking ownership of its performance through warranty is what every customer wants.

Great light, great price
With fewer hours of sunlight I always have issues. My care team recommended I try a light. This is a great, compact light that I can use and then store easily. While this isn’t the most important thing, it came well packaged with great start up instructions. It’s been helping so I know I’ll continue to use it.

Causes migraines and vision issues when used as directed
I used it as directed, facing it but not having it TOO close and never looking directly at it; well after using it that way for about an hour or so, I walked away from it and realized I couldn’t clearly see! Of course it didn’t completely blind me, but my vision was blurry for about five minutes. Shortly after, I felt myself developing a migraine. I had tried using the light another day, but yet again, it caused a migraine. I don’t know how people manage to keep the light in front of them as directed without it negatively affecting their head or eyes. But, due to the fact that I’m from Washington state and am in desperate need of something, anything to help with my seasonal depression, I decided to keep the light but instead of placing it in front of me, I’ll just place it further away from me in whatever room I’m in. I’ve been doing that for the past few days and my eyes and head have been just fine! I just can’t 100% say if it’s really helping with my depression or not. It’s better than nothing, I suppose.

This light is very reasonably priced and an excellent remedy for someone with seasonal affective disorder (SAD).I highly recommend it.

This has made a huge difference in my daughter’s life! She is studying ballet/ dance full time in the UK…The dreary weather difference of England from where she is from in America( and the fact that she walked to the school before light, no windows in studios, and walked home after 5pm in the winter) was getting her down. As soon as I got this for her( she used it while she puts on her makeup and eats her breakfast) she felt SO much better- happier and energetic! 😎👍🏻☀️
