Great scale and great price
Easy to use and accurate. This has given me so much insight into my weight and muscle/body fat ratios. I love that it synchs with Samsung Health so I can see everything in one place.

So far I love this scale. It was easy to connect to the app, a bit of a learning curve to it, but pretty easy to understand. My weight was consistent with my other scale too. I feel like this will help me to consistently track my stats and is a fraction of the cost of some of the other tests out there. It pays for itself with one use

Easy setup and no need to purchase a separate app
I love the RENPHO body scale! The information you get lets me know where I am in my healthcare and with that information I know how to proceed in improving my health. I am in my eighties and feel like it is never too late to improve my health. I highly recommend RENPHO because of its easy to set up and you don’t have to purchase a separate app to use it.

It’s okay…
I was excited to get this because it was an upgrade over another Renpho scale that only had the foot electrodes. But then I saw how wildly the numbers vary on it from day day, and I’m back to taking it with a grain of salt. And the waist to hip ratio on here is waaaaay off – I use a measuring tape to find out the real number. In order for me to have gained about 3.5 pounds of fat and lost about 3.5 pounds of muscle overnight, I would have had to have won an eating contest against a walrus and then lost a forearm to the beast.

Fast bluetooth connection & stable app
Very easy to hold grips for measurements (Runstar grips were difficult to handle). It connects directly by Bluetooth as soon as it is tapped to turn on. Measurements are easily recorded in the app with a tracking which helps show progress. Measurements seem relatively accurate especially compared to Runstar. The one thing this product is missing is to be hsa eligible

Upgraded Expecting Science — Got Broken Charts, Bad Data, and Dangerous Advice
I upgraded from a $30 foot-only smart scale expecting RENPHO’s handle model to deliver better accuracy. Instead, the app is confusing, sloppy, and in places, just plain wrong.1. Broken charts and mismatched labelsMy skeletal muscle is labeled “High” in one place, yet in the same report the dot is plotted inside the Low band.Some axes are mislabeled — “muscle (lbs)” on the row but plotted as %.Charts are incomplete or missing reference lines. If RENPHO can’t even line up dots and labels, why trust the rest?2. RENPHO can’t even do mathThe report says I have 23% body fat, but then claims my arm fat is 220% of “standard.” If 23% = 220%, then “standard” would be ~10–11% body fat — which makes no sense for middle-aged men. Elsewhere, their own charts show “standard” bands in the 18–24% range.Similarly, my muscle mass is 129 lbs (above their stated “standard” of 101–126 lbs), yet the app also says I’m only 106% of standard muscle ratio. Those two statements can’t both be true.These aren’t subtle physiology debates — they’re just basic math contradictions.3. Harmful adviceThe app treats average as the gold standard for everything. That might be fine for fat, but for muscle and bone it’s absurd. More muscle should be “excellent,” not “high” like it’s a bad thing.Worst of all, RENPHO tells me my ideal weight is just barely above my fat-free mass — effectively recommending ~7% body fat. That’s not realistic or safe for most people.Bottom lineI paid for a premium “smart” analyzer with handles and got BMI in disguise, full of broken charts, impossible ratios, and dangerous advice. My old $30 scale gave me simpler, clearer, and more credible results. RENPHO is a downgrade in every way.
