Helps my posture
I sit at a desk often and because of this am getting terrible posture. This was recommended to me and now i take it everywhere because it helps! Recently used on a long plane flight and it may have been the first time my back didn’t hurt. Great purchase for me and i would definitely do it again.

Cure your lower back pain! The McKenzie Methtod is da bomb!
I have the full round but it was too thick for me so I tried this and it is much better. I researched the McKenzie Method to cure my lower back pain and at times weakness. Keep your back straight, push your stomach out and within 2 months you can be cured! I use this in my car as I drive all, the more time I drive the better I get if I focus on pushing my stomach out and back straight. I also use one in bed. I installed board under recline seat and back to force a better posture. The biggest cause of lower back pain is recliners and too much time in recliners with the lower humping back going the wrong way.

Too big, too firm
I had one of the original McKenzie lumbar rolls which worked great. I wanted to get a few more so that I could have one in the car and one at home in addition to the one I have at work which was the original version. Although overall I am OK with this product I would agree with several of the other reviews that it is just too big and too firm and it almost pushes you right off your chair. I’m hoping that it was over-sized so that as it ages perhaps it will compress a bit and lose some of the firmness and end up just perfect although if I were to do it again, I’d buy a couple of the original ones which are also good for bringing on an airplane. This one is way too big to fit comfortably in an airplane seat which as all back pain suffers know are the absolute most poorly designed and uncomfortable seats in the world.

5 StarsEvery now and then I need to this. It is way more convenient than a rolled up towel.I would recommend the firm foam, which is not nearly as firm as one would think.So the soft foam would be ineffective.I’m 5’8″” and average weight.

Needs to be bigger and much more firm
– Foam compresses so much that it is almost useless- Its too small, when it compresses it feels like a relatively narrow/sharp pressure in the back- Needs to be quite a bit bigger and quite a bit firmer to be effective- The strap is not strong enough or built well enough to be able to keep the support in place without moving all over or even sagging- Have to constantly reposition it as it easily moves or gets out of position, this is probably the most frustrating aspect of it- Strap stretched out very quickly and stayed permanently stretched out even when I avoided tightening it too much- Strap appears to be already starting to come apart

Great product
For anyone with low back or other back pain, which is aggravated by prolonged sitting, the McKenzie D-Section Lumbar roll is a great product. Because of the elastic straps, it can be moved up or down in the chair to support the area of back pain. It is also portable so that it can be used in a vehicle as well. I like the fact that is is a “D” shape as opposed to a circular roll. I also like the fact that it has a washable cover. It certainly has relieved my back pain and supported my back. I recently had back surgery, and while I am healing, I use the Lumbar Roll just above my incision area which allows back support and yet does not put pressure on the surgical site itself.

excellent condition, replacing exactly the same item since i lost it at a hotel in Germany; it is the original; same high quality; very fast delivery from US to Germany, and nonsense, since they thankfully deliver from amazon (most likely using UPS), not this catastrophic nonsense as with DHL, HERMES, Deutsche Post DPD, etc. who simply cannot got the stored delivery infro and put you through hoops before they deliver…becasue they don’t check the delivery instructions as given in the amazon account, they simply make yuu pick up…so why would I even want to buy and get it “delivered”?

The Solution. I bought another device on Amazon that people recommended for backs but it didn’t have significant lumbar support. I have a curve in my lower back and if you need strong and sturdy lower back/lumbar support this “D” shaped cushion is perfect.Round cushions roll away and shift, other cushions are so soft they collapse and don’t provide support. This one is PERFECT and is strong enough to hold your back all day or night long. I highly recommend this cushion.
