Old Pro Version was Much Better
Oh, Hidrate Spark, what did you do? The new Pro 2 line is a huge step backward from the older Pro bottles. The lid is defective. Pushing the button doesn’t open it — I have to awkwardly hold the bottle in one hand while also pressing the button with my thumb, and muscle the lid open with my other hand. If my hands are full, I skip water even if thirsty. The bottle didn’t want to connect to my app. Super buggy, but I eventually got it manually added to my phone. App no longer acknowledges bottle color, which seems silly, but is an issue if you have 2 or more bottles. I inadvertently ordered a straw lid, and the white chug lids are on indefinite back order status on the company’s website. The bottle isn’t consistently reminding me or flashing to confirm sips. It incorrectly changes blow colors.I have my bottle to be silent after 10 pm, but I travelled from CA to NY for a week and the bottle didn’t recognize the local time zone from my phone, so the bottle was beeping and flashing until 1 am. I finally just let the battery die on the trip.I’d skip this version. Hopefully they’ll release an improved version.

Stay away from the 32oz bottle.
I really wanted to like this bottle. I waited forever for it, and I was hoping it was going to be a larger, insulated version of my original Spark.No.The 1-way valve that allows air into the bottle as you suck liquid out is the problem. It’s way too small, and the rubber membrane is too stiff, so the effort is ridiculous to try and drink through the straw. I could simply drill it out, but then the bottle wouldn’t be tip-proof.I reached out to support, and that turned out to be a waste of time. Returning the bottle.

A great reminder to drink water!
A perfect bottle for someone like me who often forgets to drink enough water. Especially during pregnancy when you really need to drink it! I really like that the app asks if you’re pregnant or nursing to account for daily intake. Plus choosing the light colors is fun ☺️ I love the light up reminder and also like that it tracks the intake volume since I often lose track of how much I’ve actually had each day. Plus it was easy to clean and set up. Would recommend!

Ergonomics
I’m a big fan of the concept behind HidrateSpark, but I’m disappointed with the design and quality of the product. This is my second bottle in less than a year and a half. My first was the Pro Lite, which I bought in April 2024 and apparently already disscontinued. By August, the battery was damaged (pretty soon and out of nowhere because I followed all user instructions). I reached out to support but the experience was frustrating — lots of back and forth, not much help, and I never got the warranty honored. To be fair, I eventually gave up replying.A couple of weeks ago, I realized how much my water intake had dropped since I stopped using my Hidrate bottle, so I decided to try again and bought the Pro 2 Smart Straw. Unfortunately, the design feels completely different. The ergonomics are poor — you have to put in way too much effort to drink through the straw, and when you release it, it makes a strange noise. This makes it awkward to use in the office or during meetings. Overall, very disappointing, especially since the previous version was so much better. On the bright side, I do appreciate the new “Find My Bottle” feature to track it, but honestly, I’m not sure it justifies the price. At this point, I think there may be better alternatives on the market.

Cool way to stay hydrated!
Just got this bottle and it’s great! It’s good at reminding me to drink water, and the light at the bottom is a fun queue to stay hydrated. Portable size too.Definitely recommend!

This is an awful product
This is an awful product. It just doesn’t register the water usage. I keep having to do it manually tried resetting it blah blah blah. Sorry I bought it. I will be returning it.

Great features but not reliable tracking
Disconnects from the app a lot. Not as consistent as the Pro bottle. Love the sound feature!
