A nice introduction to the world of edible chia seeds
Whenever I see or hear the word “chia,” the old “Ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-chia” commercial plays in my head and I see the chia pets. So chia as a food seemed a little odd, but I had a recipe I wanted to try, so went shopping. Initially, I planned to buy a small package; couldn’t find anything less than a pound locally. Of course, now I realize I should have checked Amazon first. After reading the reviews and comparing prices, I chose the 2 lb. package from Gerbs. A good choice.The package arrived on time and the seeds were well protected. I like the fact that they come in a sturdy zip-top bag. They add a nice, tasty little crunch to my smoothies. Based on their reputed health benefits, I may be adding these to all kinds of foods.

I had tried many suppliers for hemp seeds and many are pretty good. However, i have stayed with this brand because it is economical and i have had no problems with them….i have used this brand for more than a year and i make smoothies everyday using these seeds….i recommend giving this brand a try

Top-notch Chia
These seeds are great. I typically just soak them in a water bottle for about 1.5 hours and then splash with some lemon juice. Unlike the grocery store brand I was using previously, these don’t really clump together. They taste great and I’ll definitely be coming back for more when I’ve gone through the first bag.
